Meet Ruth Chan
We would like to introduce Ruth Chan. Ruth joined StaffLink a little over two years ago as a Client Service Coordinator.
She assists primarily with the recruitment and placement of staff. She also assists with client intake and in resolving problems for clients and field staff.
Recruitment requires Ruth to review resumes of prospective candidates for the necessary experience, to conduct interviews, to conduct vetting, which includes running federal and state reports about each candidate’s background and checking their job references. She also conducts orientation with new employees.
Placement requires Ruth having an understanding of both the clients’ needs and the prospective staff’s skill set, desired work schedule and availability. Additionally, she needs to determine if the employee’s temperament is a good match for the client that she is considering assigning them to work.
Ruth previously worked as a medical receptionist with a health care company in the area of customer service.
Ruth says what she likes best about her current position is “helping people”. On a daily basis she helps applicants find jobs that they really like and helps clients find staff that help them with their needs.
In Ruth’s spare time she enjoys biking, tennis and spending time with family.
