St. Louis Home Care and Medical Staffing President Gives Back to Her Community
StaffLink President, Gretchen Curry has lived in Kirkwood, Missouri most of her life. Her parents were educators. She moved to Kirkwood while in high school. Gretchen’s father had recently begun teaching and coaching in the Kirkwood School district. She still lives in Kirkwood today.
One of several ways that Gretchen “gives back” to the community is through her volunteering with the Kirkwood Historical Society (KHS). She loves history and believes it is important. She says, “If we neglect our history, we handicap our future.” Gretchen serves on the Board of Directors for the KHS and is the Chairperson for the Friends Speaker Series. This past week the 2020 series kicked off with a presentation of, “My Dear Molly: The Civil War Letters of Captain James Love”. Author of a book by the same name was the guest speaker, Molly Kodner. The presentation was enthusiastically received by the audience at the KHS’s historical residence, Mudd’s Grove.
